PURITY OF THE WINDOW

A young couple moves into a new neighborhood.

The next morning while they are eating breakfast,

The young woman sees her neighbor hanging the wash outside.

"That laundry is not very clean", she said.

"She doesn't know how to wash correctly.

Perhaps she needs better laundry soap."

Her husband looked on, but remained silent.

Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry,

The young woman would make the same comments.

About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a

Nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband:

"Look, she has learned how to wash correctly.

I wonder who taught her this."

The husband said, "I got up early this morning and

Cleaned our windows."

And so it is with life. What we see when watching others

Depends on the purity of the window through which we look.

I hope that you have a very blessed day!
Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly and leave the rest to God.

REMEMBER

“If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1John 1:9

GREAT IS THE LORD #629051210

GREAT IS THE LORD

God’s presence is our joy, security, and salvation. God is praised as the defender of Jerusalem, the holy city of the Jews. He is also our defender and guide forever.

Psalm 48

1Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.

2Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

3God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

4For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together.

5They saw it, and so they marvelled; they were troubled, and hasted away.

6Fear took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail.

7Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.

8As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. Selah.

9We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.

10According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.

11Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.

12Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.

13Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.

14For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.

We often pray for God’s guidance as we struggle with decisions. What we need is both guidance and a guide---a map that gives us landmarks and directions and a constant companion who has an intimate knowledge of the way and will make sure we interpret the map correctly.

The Bible will be such a map, and the Holy Spirit will be the constant companion and guide. As you make your way through life, lean upon both the map and the Guide. (Notes from Tyndale Life Application Bible KJV).

There have been far too many tragedies in our local community that we often have problems understanding but rest assured we continue to recognize and know that our Lord is great and we continue to praise him even when our heart is heavy. Thank you Lord for being present in our time of joy and sorrow you are our guide and we lean upon the promises in your word today.

REMEMBER

“If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1John 1:9

MOTHER’S DAY HAS COME AND GONE

Yesterday in many parts of my world everyone took time to celebrate a special day for our mother’s. Many took time to send flowers or take her out to eat or do something special for her. Why did we do this? Because we love our mother for all the time she spends raising us and being there for us.

So, here it is the day after mother’s day. What happens today? Well mom get up get going get us going it’s another day of labor and love your special day has come and gone.

Now, something doesn’t sound right about this? Men, women, boys and girls its time to remember mom is special everyday and we need to remember her each day as the year goes by. One treat, one special day a year is not enough. Let’s get up and help mom and be a blessing to her as she endeavor’s to keep us going today.

What can one do? Lot’s of these like kids get those rooms clean, men take out the garbage, women give mom a call and tell her you love her today the day after mother’s day. Sound crazy? Try it! She will like it and she will tend to do even more for you. I think love “begets” love. Oh yes it’s a word my word check says so and who will question it?

So to all you mom’s I want to say thanks for all you do the day after Mother’s Day and wish you a wonderful day as you continue to be mom and do all the things mother’s do. Hey honey, I’m hungry, could you fix me some breakfast? Have a good day. God loves you and so do we even when we fail to show it.
