GOD, CAN I ASK YOU A QUESTION

Just askin'

Me: God, can I ask you a question?

God: Sure.

Me: Promise you won't get mad.

God: I promise.

Me: Why did you let so much stuff happen to me today?

God: What do you mean?

Me: Well, I woke up late.

God: Yes.

Me: My car took forever to start.

God: Okay.

Me: At lunch they made my sandwich wrong and I had to wait.

God: Huummm.

Me: On the way home, my phone went dead, just as I picked up a call.

God: All right.

Me: And on top of it all, when I got home I just wanted to soak my feet in my new foot massager and relax, but it wouldn't
work!!! Nothing went right today! Why did you do that?

God: Let me see, the Death Angel was at your bed this morning and I had
to send one of the other angels to battle him for your life. I let you sleep through that.

Me: (humbled): OH...

GOD: I didn't let your car start because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have hit you if you were on the road.

Me: (ashamed)

God: The first person who made your sandwich today was sick and I didn't want you to catch what they have, I knew you couldn't afford to miss work.

Me: (embarrassed): Ok...

God: Your phone went dead because the person that was calling was going
to give false witness about what you said on that call, I didn't even let
you talk to them so you would be covered.

Me: (softly) I see God.

God: Oh and that foot massager, it had a shortage that was going to throw
out all of the power in your house tonight. I didn't think you wanted to
be in the dark.

Me: I'm sorry God.

God: Don't be sorry, just learn to trust me.....in all things, the good and the bad.

Me: I will trust you.

God: And don't doubt that my plan for your day is always better than your plan.

Me: I won't God. And let me just tell you God, thank you for everything today.

God: You're welcome child. It was just another day being your God, and I
love looking after my children.

THE SPIRITUAL USE OF PRAYER CLOTHS

The Spiritual Use of Prayer Cloths

Acts 19:11-12 King James Version (KJV)

11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:
12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.
This cloth we use has been anointed with oil and prayed over, trusting that God will minister to you as you apply it in faith.

There is no healing power in the cloth, but handkerchiefs and aprons were used by the Apostle Paul, and many have testified to prayers answered by using anointed cloths. Our God knows just what we need. As you apply the cloth, we are trusting in Jesus, our mighty Healer and great Physician, to perform the miracle you need.

Matthew 9:29 King James Version (KJV)

29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
Matthew 8:16 King James Version (KJV)

16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:
Isaiah 53:5 King James Version (KJV)

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
I have heard many testimonies over the years of people being healed as a cloth or a Bible, or a Christian Magazine were prayed over and given to an individual. God works in many ways and when we have faith as a little child I believe all things are possible.

I will share one little story about a man some of you knew and many of you never heard of, his name was M.A. Tomlinson and he was General Overseer of the Church of God of Prophecy. Each week before the church magazine was mailed he would go to the shipping department and pick up a few workers on his way to go pray for the White Wing Messenger. He believed that if just one person receiving it would be blessed it was worth all the effort of mailing it. Over the years many testimonies were giving of loved ones saved, uplifted, and healed. What a treat it was to see this event take place each week.

Healing is of God. Man can do what he can do with all his knowledge but the actual healing comes from God. As I’ve shared many times my sole desire as I share with you is to uplift Christ, fellow Christians, and share the love of Jesus with others.

ARE YOU JESUS #76909092012

ARE YOU JESUS

A few years ago a group of salesmen went to a regional sales convention in Chicago. They had assured their wives that they would be home in plenty of time for Friday night's dinner. In their rush, with tickets and briefcases, one of these salesmen inadvertently kicked over a table which held a display of apples. Apples flew everywhere. Without stopping or looking back, they all managed to reach the plane in time for their nearly-missed boarding...

ALL BUT ONE!!! He paused, took a deep breath, got in touch with his feelings, and experienced a twinge of compassion for the girl whose apple stand had been overturned.

He told his buddies to go on without him, waved good-bye, told one of them to call his wife when they arrived at their home destination and explain his taking a later flight. Then he returned to the terminal where the apples were all over the terminal floor.

He was glad he did. The 16-year-old girl was totally blind! She was softly crying, tears running down her cheeks in frustration, and at the same time helplessly groping for her spilled produce as the crowd swirled about her; no one stopping and no one to care for her plight.

The salesman knelt on the floor with her, gathered up the apples, put them back on the table and helped organize her display. As he did this, he noticed that many of them had become battered and bruised; these he set aside in another basket.

When he had finished, he pulled out his wallet and said to the girl, "Here, please take this $40 for the damage we did. Are you okay?” She nodded through her tears. He continued on with, "I hope we didn't spoil your day too badly."

As the salesman started to walk away, the bewildered blind girl called out to him, "Mister...." He paused and turned to look back into those blind eyes. She continued, "Are you Jesus?"

He stopped in mid-stride ... and he wondered. He gently went back and said, "No, I am nothing like Jesus - He is good, kind, caring, loving, and would never have bumped into your display in the first place.

"The girl gently nodded: "I only asked because I prayed for Jesus to help me gather the apples. He sent you to help me, so you are like Him - only He knows who will do His will. Thank you for hearing His call, Mister."

Then slowly he made his way to catch the later flight with that question burning and bouncing about in his soul: "Are you Jesus?"

Do people mistake you for Jesus?

That's our destiny, is it not? To be so much like Jesus that people cannot tell the difference as we live and interact with a world that is blind to His love, life and grace.

If we claim to know Him, we should live, walk and act as He would. Knowing Him is more than simply quoting Scripture and going to church. It's actually living the Word as life unfolds day to day .

You are the apple of His eye even though you, too, have been bruised by a fall. He stopped what He was doing and picked up you and me on a hill called Calvary and paid in full for our damaged fruit.

Sometimes we just take things for granted, when we really need to be sharing what we know....

Thanks to my Aunt Mary Ann for sharing.

It means you've decided to see beyond the imperfections."
