FIELDS OF THE WOOD (Day Trip)
BIBLICAL THEME PARK (NC)

A few days ago I told my wife I wanted to get up and go to Fields of the Wood. We got up one a beautiful Tuesday morning grabbed a few things along with Little Bit and Lady Di (our dogs) and took off for the mountains. It was such a beautiful drive with blue skies and white clouds enjoying God’s creation as we looked at the trees and the water along the way.

Since we only live 50 miles away we were there in an hour and proceeded up the mountain to see the All Nations Cross and Flags. We drove around and came back to the top of Ten Commandment Mountain. We got out and turned the dogs loose as we looked at the view and then sat down for a spell. Since we normally keep Lady Di on a lease she went wild and had a ball with Little Bit.

Edwina and I took out her kindles and we read our scriptures for the day and prayed for all our prayer needs. What a wonderful feeling to touch God while on the mountain top. I then proceeded to walk down Ten Commandment Mountain and back up. Yes, I was slow but I did it all the way. On the way back up two ladies stopped me and said sir you know you can drive to the top and I smiled and said I know I parked up there.

Next we went to the bookstore and of course I saw a shirt I had to have, my wife went in while I kept the dogs and bought it for me. It says “I climbed 10 Commandment Mountain and survived.” What a treat for me, four months ago I had trouble walking to me car but not today.

Next, Edwina and the dog’s grove to the top of Prayer Mountain and waited for me. Of course, I’m enjoying being able to walk and yes I slowed climbed to the top stopping along the way at the Witness Tree and some of the stones.  What a privilege to stand at the top looking out over the view and even remember that in 1957 I had my first view of the marvelous place.

I now proceeded the walk back down and yes, they were waiting for me at the bottom. My knees were now wobbly and they greeted me and we got in the car and headed back home for the day.

What a beautiful day trip and time with my wife and dogs. God is so good to me. I thank you Lord for being able to do this climb again. What a peace and joyful time we had this day and we fellowship together with our Lord.

SEEK THE LORD #82507112013

SEEK THE LORD

The Tennessee State Convention is history now but I hope the food we received will continue throughout the year. Bishop E C McKinley and his staff paid the price on their knees and God rewarded all of us with power packed inspiration.

Our theme was “Break up your fallow ground; for it is time to seek the Lord.” Lord help us as we put into practice this theme in our hearts, our lives, and our churches. It is hard to describe what all God did in our presence. As the ole saying goes you would just have to have been there to fully appreciate how God blessed each session.

Worship was power packed, singing was awesome, preaching made you dig a little deeper, and the Holy Ghost showed off as he took control and did away with the program. Thank you one and all who allowed God to change your thoughts, your songs, your very being as the Holy Ghost moved upon you in each session.

Lord, help me, help us, to break up this fallow ground, help us as we seek you for guidance and direction in our churches this year. Lord, we want to be soul winners, we want to see people crying unto you for Salvation, we want to see people slain in the spirit, we want to see people added to the church daily not just in the world but in our back yard.

What more can I say, we need God, I’m so tired of barren altars and empty pews, we use to be known  as a God fearing nation and now we rely on man and not God and look at what shape it puts us in.

As my wife and I continue to read thru the bible together I’m reminded time and time again how God blessed nations and people who fear him and put him first in their life, it was exciting times when they went from victory to victory.

I’m also reminded of what God does when man goes his own way and forsakes their creator. Judgment comes on those nations and they don’t survive for long. I long to see the day we are a God fearing nation and reap the benefits of knowing God is on our side.

I want to cry out SEEK THE LORD, lean not to your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path. Fellow Christian, will you join me in breaking up the fallow ground around us? I need it, you need it, the church needs it, our nation needs it and the world needs it. God bless you as you seek GOD.

LET THE FIREWORKS RING OUT!

Let the fireworks ring out; let the celebration continue for the good ole USA continues to be blessed by God as a free nation. Let the glories roll to our Heavenly Father for giving us another year as a nation. Without God, we would not have this wonderful opportunity to pursue happiness and joy, and peace.

Thank you Lord for being with us in all our wars and trials we have faced over the years. Thank you for being with me when I went to war, thank you for bringing me home and providing for me and my family.

America, it is time we remember who brought us to this point and its time we remember the Lord our God our Creator. God gave Solomon the advise I think we need to practice today in 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

On this fourth of July as you enjoy family and friends and celebrate I encourage you to call upon the name of the Lord, humble yourself, pray, seek his face, and turn from any wicked ways and listen as you hear from heaven as God forgives you and heals your land.

We will not remain a land of the free if our nation continues the path it is taking to do away with God or anything related to him.

So, WAKE UP AMERICA!
