GOOOD MORNING WORLD

REMEMBER

JESUS IS THE ANSWER TODAY

Goood Morning World, remember, Jesus is the answer today. He's relevant, he's real, and he's here right now. Just getting up and don’t know what to do? Well, think on these things. Jesus loves you and he cares about your day. Jesus is ready to steer you and help you as you drink that cup of coffee or tea and stare this old world in the face.

Now that I have your attention, let’s begin the day with a round of prayer. Heavenly Father, I thank you for life for health and strength. I thank you for this day I’m beginning afresh and anew in you. You are my God, my creator, you are Lord and I thank you for your love and care.

Lord guide my steps, guide my feet today to walk the path you want me to travel and help me along the way as I desire to do your will and share your love with others as I travel along.

Lord I take a look at our world and see so much happening that lays heavy on my heart, I pray your will as we seek to do that which pleases you today. Help me oh Lord to encourage those you place on my path today. May I show the love and care you would and serve those who need you today in Jesus name I pray.

Now get going Jesus has something special for you today and he’s ready to show you the way. Have a good day and remember you can do all things through Christ Jesus who will strengthen you on your way.

REMEMBER

Rejoice With Me Today
What a beautiful day to arise and behold the splendor and beautiful of the Lord. Thank you Jesus for your love, your care and your tender mercies you bestow upon us each day.
Yes, Jesus is the sweetest name I know and I need no other to lift me up to daily heights in him. I often wonder how anyone makes it without Jesus. Think about it, he is here right now to lift you in his arms and speak sweet nothings to you. Oh what a loving Savior we have in you Jesus.
Cradle me in your arms this morning Jesus, ah what a peace, what a joy, and what contentment I have in you. I am yours and you are mine and I need fear no danger nor harm because you live and reign. Thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus you are precious to me.
Do you think I am crazy? Well, I am crazy in love with my Lord and Master. You know with the crazy world around me I’m glad he is near and ready to lift me up and plant my feet on higher ground. If you know Jesus you can feel the love I feel right now. It is so wonderful to know he is mine.
Oh, sad story; if you don’t know Jesus and would like to experience what is going on in my heart simply call upon him, repent of your sins, ask forgiveness and receive him in your heart. Yes, it is just that simple. Jesus is not complex and compound he has already died for your sins and it’s up to you to accept his simple plan of Salvation. P.S. If you just received him I rejoice with you as do the angels in heaven.
Now rejoice with me as I continue to feel his presence ever so near. Share with someone your decision to receive Jesus. If they know him they too will rejoice. If they don’t know him they will have the opportunity to respond to our Jesus.
The Psalmist said in Chapter 100. “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord all ye lands, serve the Lord with gladness, and come before his presence with singing…” I plan to do this as I go my way today and would love for you to join me as you continue your way. God bless you, Jesus is the sweetest name and there is none other like him.

A JOURNEY CALLED LIFE

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall
to see the farmer and his wife open a package.
"What food might this contain?" The mouse wondered.
He was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.

Retreating to the farmyard,
the mouse proclaimed this warning:
"There is a mousetrap in the house!
There is a mousetrap in the house!"

The chicken clucked and scratched,
raised her head and said, "Mr. Mouse,
I can tell this is a grave concern to you,
but it is of no consequence to me.
I cannot be bothered by it."
The mouse turned to the pig and told him,
"There is a mousetrap in the house!
There is a mousetrap in the house!"

The pig sympathized, but said,
"I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse,
but there is nothing I can do about it
but pray...
Be assured you are in my prayers."
The mouse turned to the cow and said,
"There is a mousetrap in the house!
There is a mousetrap in the house!"

The cow said, "Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you,

but it's no skin off my nose."
So, the mouse returned to the house,
head down and dejected,
to face the farmer's mousetrap
. . . Alone...

That very night a sound was heard throughout the house
-- the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey.

The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught.
In the darkness, she did not see it.
It was a venomous snake

whose tail was caught in the trap.
The snake bit the farmer's wife.

The farmer rushed her to the hospital.

When she returned home she still had a fever.
Everyone knows you treat a fever

with fresh chicken soup.
So the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard
for the soup's main ingredient:

But his wife's sickness continued.
Friends and neighbors
came to sit with her
around the clock.
To feed them,
the farmer butchered the pig.

But, alas,
the farmer's wife did not get well...
She died.

So many people came for her funeral
that the farmer had the cow slaughtered
to provide enough meat for all of them
for the funeral luncheon.
And the mouse looked upon it all
from his crack in the wall
with great sadness.
So, the next time you hear
someone is facing a problem
and you think it doesn't concern you,
remember ---

When one of us is threatened, we are all at risk.
We are all involved in this journey called life.
We must keep an eye out for one another
and make an extra effort
to encourage one another.

YOU MAY WANT TO LET
EVERYONE WHO HAS EVER
HELPED YOU OUT KNOW
HOW IMPORTANT THEY ARE.

WALK INTHE SPIRIT #624041010

WALK IN THE SPIRIT

I watched a preacher last night challenge those over 40 to lead the way in spiritual things for those under 40. He saw the need for those who know the spirit to allow it to use them to teach the youth. He also challenged the youth to bind together with these and learn from them.

It takes all of us submitting ourselves to God and to one another to grow in the Lord and learn to walk in the spirit. If you are 60 and complaining about the youth start walking in the spirit and I believe they will want to walk with you.

Youth who think those 60 are old fogies and push them aside wake up. You can reap golden nuggets from these who have braved the trail for you to worship freely today. Walk in the spirit together hand in hand arm in arm and see what God will do. Read with me from God’s word.

Galatians 5:16-26

16This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

18But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25If we live in the Spirit let us also walk in the Spirit.

26Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Too many are desirous of glory and envy one another. This will not bring revival to our land. One writer said to stir up the gift that is within you. When we stir up this gift I believe we will live in the spirit and walk in the spirit. Living and walking in the spirit will keep us from the evils in these verses because the flesh will be crucified and our affections and lusts will be under the blood of Jesus.

Lord, help me this day to have a renewed desire and determination to walk in love as the Holy Ghost directs my heart and life. Lord, revive me and prepare me to lead those you place in my care. Teach me thy way oh Lord I want to be in you and live and walk in the spirit as you direct each moment of the day in Jesus name I pray.

BAILEY'S JESUS

God recently allowed me to see Jesus through the eyes of someone seeing Him for the first time. Having the advantage of knowing how the story ends, we can easily forget the cost of our redemption and the love of our Savior.

Every year we attend a local church pageant at Christmas time, which tells the story of Jesus from His birth through His resurrection. It is a spectacular event, with live animals and hundreds of cast members in realistic costumes. The magi enter the huge auditorium on llamas from the rear, descending the steps in pomp and majesty. Roman soldiers look huge and menacing in their costumes and makeup.

Of all the years we have attended, one stands out indelibly in my heart. It was the year we took our then three-year-old granddaughter, Bailey, who loves Jesus. She was mesmerized throughout the entire play, not just watching, but involved as if she were a player. She watches as Joseph and Mary travel to the Inn and is thrilled when she sees the baby Jesus in His mother's arms.

When Jesus, on a young donkey, descends the steps from the back of the auditorium, depicting His triumphal entry into Jerusalem, Bailey was ecstatic. As he neared our aisle, Bailey began jumping up and down, screaming, "Jesus, Jesus! There's Jesus!" Not just saying the words but exclaiming them with every fiber of her being. She alternated between screaming his name and hugging us. "It's Jesus. Look!"

I thought she might actually pass out. Tears filled my eyes as I looked at Jesus through the eyes of a child in love with Him, seeing Him for the first time. How like the blind beggar screaming out in reckless abandon, "Jesus, Jesus!", afraid he might miss Him, not caring what others thought. (Mark 10:46-52)

This was so much fun.

Then came the arrest scene. On stage, the soldiers shoved and slapped Jesus as they moved Him from the Garden of Gesthemane to Pilate. Bailey responded as if she were in the crowd of women, with terror and anger. "Stop it!" she screamed. "Bad soldiers, stop it!" As I watched her reaction, I wished we had talked to her before the play. "Bailey it's OK. They are just pretending."

"They are hurting Jesus! Stop it!"

She stood in her seat reacting to each and every move. People around us at first smiled at her reaction, thinking "How cute!". Then they quit smiling and began watching her watch Him. In a most powerful scene, the soldiers lead Jesus carrying the cross down the steps of the auditorium from the back They were yelling, whipping, and cursing at Jesus, who was bloodied and beaten.

Bailey was now hysterical. "Stop it! Soldiers! Stop it," she screamed. She must have been wondering why all these people did nothing. She then began to cry instead of scream. "Jesus, Oh, Jesus!" People all around us began to weep as we all watch this devoted little disciple see her Jesus beaten and killed as those first century disciples had.

Going back and forth between her mother's lap and mine for comfort, she was distraught. I kept saying, "Bailey, it's OK. Jesus is going to be OK. These are just people pretending to be soldiers. She looked at me like I was crazy. In my lap, we talked through the cross and burial. "Watch, Bailey, watch for Jesus!"

The tomb began to tremble and lightening flashed as the stone rolled away. A Super Bowl touchdown cheer couldn't come close to matching this little one's reaction to the resurrection. "Jesus! He's OK. Mommy, its Jesus!" I prayed that she wasn't going to be traumatized by this event, but that she would remember it. I shall never forget it. I shall never forget seeing Jesus’ suffering, crucifixion, and resurrection through the eyes of an innocent child.

Following the pageant the actors all assembled in the foyer to be greeted by the audience. As we passed by some of the soldiers Bailey screamed out, "Bad soldier, don't you hurt Jesus." The actor who portrayed Jesus was some distance away surrounded by well-wishers and friends. Bailey broke away from us and ran toward him, wrapping herself around his legs, holding on for dear life. He hugged her and said, "Jesus loves you." He patted her to go away.

She wouldn't let go. She kept clinging to Him, laughing and calling His name. She wasn't about to let go of her Jesus.

I think God in heaven stopped what ever was going on that day and made all the angels watch Bailey. "Now, look there! You see what I meant when I said, 'Of such is the kingdom of heaven?'"

Bailey's reaction should be our reaction every day. When we think of Him, who He is, what He did for us, and what He offers us, we have to say, how can we do anything less than worship Him?
