A JABEZ APPOINTMENT FROM GOD #77610302012

A JABEZ APPOINTMENT FROM GOD
My wife taught  a lesson on Jabez Prayer Sunday and I share with permission what I call a Jabez  appointing my friend and Tennessee State Bishop of the COGOP encountered  yesterday.
First, join me in reading I Chronicles 4:9-10.

And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow.
10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

Ec McKinley  “Just arrived safely for the TeamUP conference. While traveling through Southern Illinois today we came upon a terrible accident. Man driving a pickup truck, pulling a trailer lost control in the strong winds. He rolled the truck when the trailer jackknifed. Vehicle was upside down when it came to a stop and driver was trapped. Several other men tried to open the drivers side, but top was crushed. I tried to get into the passenger side and could only see his right leg. I tried to get an answer from him to see if he was alive...no response, I prayed for him, not know if he could hear me.

There were weapons all scattered along with several different calibers of ammo. I collected and secured them and turned them over to law enforcement when they arrived on the scene. Lifeflight arrived along with other medical personnel and they were only able to extricate the man using the "Jaws of Life" tools. I stayed and offered to minister to the first responders. I helped to hold the sheets that shield passersby from a view of the victim and then helped them cover the body. Once the man was pronounced dead by the coroner I returned on our trip here.

Lesson in all of this? Our life is like a vapor....it can be snuffed out in a moment of time, and we should all make sure we have a relationship with God. No doubt this man (from Washington State) had no plan of dying on a stretch of interstate today...but it happened. The driver behind him told me that he saw the accident and it happened so fast.

Please, please, make sure everything is right in your heart with God...it's the ONLY thing that really matters in moments like this.”

I shared with Bishop McKinley that “You had an appointment  and you ministered. Praise the Lord you were willing and ready. So, sad, for the death, when given appointment by God we never know when or where.
I ask you today are you ready to minister when given an appointment by God. God knows who to call upon and I want to be ready when he makes an assignment.

I wish space would allow more that my wife taught but we were really challenged as she taught under the anointing. God bless you as you listen to God.

LAYING RELIGION ASIDE AND WORSHIPPING GOD

Tonight my wife and several friends lay aside their religious titles or church names and came to one of their homes and sang praises unto God.

It is so fruitful and beautiful when we accept each Christian and put Christ forward in what we are doing. We ate, we talked, we sang, we prayed and we worshiped God together.  We sang old songs, choruses, newer songs, we laughed, told stories, gave testimonies and sang some more.

It was so refreshing to just be with fellow Christians who love the Lord and want nothing but fellowship and love as we celebrate Christ together.
The Psalmist said in Chapter 133: 1-3

133 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

Oh how precious it is to feel the Spirit of God in our presence as we uplift the name of Jesus. There is nothing but unity and we all love the Lord.

If we can’t get along here someone may miss heaven. I want to make it to heaven how about you. I love people who love God and want to help each other endeavor to lift up Christ with religion laid aside and the Spirit of God inspiring us.

SCRIPTURES TO PRAY FOR OUR NATIONAL ELECTION

It is critical that Christians pray for the coming presidential election. There is amazing power in united prayer. Pray  with others whenever possible. The power of prayer can overcome any obstacle or ungodly influence and, indeed, do great things!

1.  II Chronicles 7:14 " If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, will heal their land."

2.  Acts 17:30
 - Pray for repentance for yourself and for our nation.

3. Psalm 32:6-7
 - Pray that Christians will be motivated to pray faithfully for this election and that the Lord would deliver us from the wrong leaders.

4.  Proverbs 16:13
 - Pray that our nation will listen to the truth and not be led astray.

5.  Psalm 125
 - Pray that those who trust in the Lord will not be shaken.

6. Psalm 86:14-17
 - Pray that the Lord would defeat those who have no regard for Him in this election.

7. II Kings 13:16
 - Pray that the Lord would put His hands on the man of His choice for president (and his team) and guide them in this election.

8.  Luke 12:54-57
 – Pray that God's man and our nation will be discerning and do what is right.

9. Psalm 16:7-8
 - Pray that the Lord would give wise counsel and guidance to His choice for president in this campaign.

10. Proverbs 1:5-6
 - Pray that God's man will listen with discernment, add to his knowledge, and receive wise counsel in this campaign.

11.  John 16:33 - Pray that the man of God's choice would be given wisdom and ability from the Lord to overcome any obstacle or difficulty during this campaign.

12.  Philippians 4:13
 - Pray that the Lord's choice for President will have special strength and unusual ability from God.

13. Psalm 18:32-36
 - Pray that the Lord would arm the man of His choice with strength; would guide him in battle (this election); and would sustain him and give him victory.

14. Hebrews 11:32-34
 – Pray that God's man could, through faith, persevere and maintain his courage throughout this election.

15.  2 Corinthians 12:9
 – Pray that the Lord would empower and enable his man in any area of weakness.

16.  Habakkuk 1:5 and 3:2
 - Pray that the Lord would do something that would utterly amaze us and give His servant victory.

Please print out this prayer guide and pray daily until the election; and forward this to every Christian you know so God will hear our united prayers.

WHEN I'M LOW IN SPIRIT #77310152012

WHEN I’M LOW IN SPIRIT

While walking the dogs this morning this song came to my heart. I believe someone needs it to lift them higher today. Take time to read it and sing it and worship the Lord. This is one of the many songs Dottie Rambo wrote.  “In The Valley He Restoreth My Soul”
When I'm low in spirit I cry Lord lift me up I want to go higher with Thee
But the Lord knows I can’t live on the mountains, so He picked out a valley for me.

He leads me beside still waters somewhere in the valley below
He draws me aside to be tested and tried in the valley He restored my soul

It's dark as a dungeon and the sun seldom shines
and I question Lord why must this be? Then He tells me there's strength in my sorrow and there's victory in trials for me.

He leads me beside still waters somewhere in the valley below
He draws me aside to be tested and tried in the valley He restored my soul

I’m thankful I’m not low in Spirit today but I’m glad I know who to call upon when I am. Hello, fellow Christian, lift up you head, open your eyes and behold the beauty of God and know your redemption draws near . Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.

Rejoice, again I say R E J O I C E. God is bigger than all your problems. Sing praises unto Him and behold what He is doing in your life.
