Do You Murmur and Complain?

Join me in the word. Exodus 17:1-7

1And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink.

2Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, why chide ye with me? Wherefore do ye tempt the LORD?

3And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?

4And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, what shall I do unto this people? They be almost ready to stone me.

5And the LORD said unto Moses, go on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river, take in thine hand, and go.

6Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

7And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, Is the LORD among us, or not?

It is easy to fall into the same spirit the children of Israel found themselves as they murmured to the man of God for leading them to unknown territory. Back in Egypt they had water, food, and shelter. How quickly they forgot the bondage God led them out of.

Do you need water today? Remember where God brought you from. Remember his promise to provide your every need. Remember that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Remember that our Lord promised he would never leave us nor forsake us.

So, what’s the problem? Kick yourself into gear, get up and open that door and let Jesus come in and flood your soul. He is, he lives, and he welcomes you to live by faith and receive all he has available for you. It will bring joy and contentment this world will not offer.

Oh, yes, it will take a load off the man of God that leads you. So give it all to Jesus and give you, your family, and friends a break.

Remember:

If you have missed knowing me, you have missed nothing. If you have missed some of my emails, you have missed a laugh or an uplifting word.
But, if you have missed knowing my LORD and SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, you have missed everything in the world.

1John 1:9 “If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

God and the Spider 558

Surfing with Jesus

Someone needs this one today so even though it’s been around I share it with you.

God and the Spider

During World War II, a US marine was separated from his unit on a Pacific

island. The fighting had been intense, and in the smoke and the crossfire he

had lost touch with his comrades.

Alone in the jungle, he could hear enemy soldiers coming in his direction.

Scrambling for cover, he found his way up a high ridge to several small

caves in the rock. Quickly he crawled inside one of the caves. Although safe

for the moment, he realized that once the enemy soldiers looking for him

swept up the ridge, they would quickly search all the caves and he would

be killed.

As he waited, he prayed, Lord, if it be your will, please protect me.

Whatever your will though, I love you and trust you. Amen.

After praying, he lay quietly listening to the enemy begin to draw close.

He thought, well, I guess the Lord isn't going to help me out of this one.

Then he saw a spider begin to build a web over the front of his cave.

As he watched, listening to the enemy searching for him all the while, the

spider layered strand after strand of web across the opening of the cave.

Hah, he thought. What I need is a brick wall and what the Lord has sent

me is a spider web. God does have a sense of humor.

As the enemy drew closer he watched from the darkness of his hideout and

could see them searching one cave after another. As they came to his, he

got ready to make his last stand. To his amazement, however, after glancing

in the direction of his cave, they moved on. Suddenly, he realized that with

the spider web over the entrance, his cave looked as if no one had entered

for quite a while. Lord, forgive me, prayed the young man. I had forgotten

that in you a spider's web is stronger than a brick wall.

We all face times of great trouble. When we do, it is so easy to forget the

victories that God would work in our lives, sometimes in the most surprising

ways.

Remember: Whatever is happening in your life, with God, a mere spiders web

can become a brick wall of protection. Believe He is with you always and you

will see His great power and love for you. Have an awesome day, and know

that someone who thinks you're great has thought about you today!

Thank You for Your Notes and Prayers

What wonderful notes I received after my writing on “Dry Spell.” You guys are great. God’s love is so rich and to have many of you share with me was special indeed.

Thank you for allowing me in your home and thank you for yielding to God as you wrote and spoke uplifting words of life to me. That is what life in Christ is all about. I often share that when God lays someone on your heart take time right then to stop and pray for them.

Psalms 121:1-2 “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord which made heaven and earth.”

I am so glad that I have friends to remind me that my help comes from the Lord. The Lord heard my cry and answered with you as you shared his word with me. There really is no secret what God can do.

Psalms 119:137,138,140,142 “Righteous art thou, O Lord, and upright are thy judgments. Thy testimonies that thou has commanded are righteous and very faithful…Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it…Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.”

Lord I testify of your faithfulness. Thank you for the purity of your word and thank you for your everlasting righteousness. I don’t know how anyone can go a day without uplifting your holy name. When I see the sun rise, the rain fall, the clouds in the sky or the dim fog I see God. God creates and he supplies all our needs to sustain us each day.

I close with Psalms 126:3 “The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.”

Remember:

If you have missed knowing me, you have missed nothing. If you have missed some of my emails, you have missed a laugh or an uplifting word.
But, if you have missed knowing my LORD and SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, you have missed everything in the world.

There Is But One God

There Is But One God

I Corinthians 8:5-6

“For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him, and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things and we by him.”

What’s the beef? God is God and He always will be God. Man can conjure up anything he wants and call it god but man is like the grass in the field he will vanish away.

Are you tired of hearing leave God out of school, out of the pledge of allegiance, out of the oath of office for our leaders? Well, I am too! Guess what? You can leave it out of everything you want to but you can’t take it out of my heart and you can’t stop one from proclaiming He is our God and He will reign supreme.

Religions may come and go but God is and He rewards those that diligently seek him. I proclaim there is no left or right with God there is but the straight and narrow way that leads to life eternal through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Man may seek to destroy us and all we believe and practice from the word of God but in the end the battle is not ours said little David. It’s thine Lord and I’m in your favor. I’ve given it all to you for I know not what to do. Lord, I’m so glad you are really all I need, Lord, help me today to leave it in your care and go on about the work you have given me to do. I am on the winning team for the end of the book says we win with you. The score may be 100 to 0 but I have no fear for the victory is ours. Praise the Lord.

I thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus, I thank you Lord. Oh let the joy flow from deep within my soul, let my praises be acceptable to your ears today as I lift my voice in adoration glorying thy name. Oh, Hallelujah! I want to proclaim Him today. As I write its just like I can hear it coming from my precious mother when she gets excited in a service and lifts up your name and proclaims, Oh, Hallelujah! You know when she is being blessed and I know I am blessed today because your presence is so real. Let the glories roll from within you right now and praise His name.

I’ll close for now because I feel I need to rejoice in the heavenly language for a spell and receive from our Lord that I have need of for today.
