YEP, HE IS!

Last week in writing my topic using Psalm 46 was “God is always there.” This week as I rejoice in the goodness of God I want to say “Yep, He is.”“He is always there.”

This week I was facing the juggling act of how to handle unforeseen financial needs. One in particular was Social Security finally settling on how much they say they have overpaid me. The letter said call 1-800 etc and have your credit card ready, you have 30 days to respond. Well I picked up the phone being obedient to our government and had my card out ready to resolve this issue. I told myself well, this will buy 25 days.

To my surprise I was calling Chicago and got a lady who was very nice which is scary on these calls and she said Mr. Dasher you don’t have to use your card if you want us to we will take 10% of your check until it is paid. Oh, I wanted to shout. I wanted to dance before the Lord. I actually got excited. Now, this I can handle a whole lot easier, so I proclaim YEP, He is, He is always there.

This brings me to sharing Psalm 47 because it is my heart today. Not only did we settle but the total is 70% less than what they originally told me they wanted. I have another quick praise. We have been praying for a new friend that has been coming to our church this year for God to help him not to have to serve jail time for an event in his life. That answer came with four years probation and no jail time. We praise the Lord for this answer. Join me and rejoice with me now for a few moments with this Psalm.

Psalm 47

1O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.

2For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.

3He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.

4He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.

5God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.

6Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.

7For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.

8God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.

9The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.

Thank you Lord, thank you Lord, thank you Lord. Have a good moment of worship right now and know YEP HE IS ALWAYS THERE and will provide a way for you today.

REMEMBER

“If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1John 1:9

GOD IS ALWAYS THERE

God is always there to help, providing refuge, security, and peace. God’s power is complete and his ultimate victory is certain. He will not fail to rescue those who love him. A fellow minister shared his sermon “A very present help” that he fed his congregation with last Sunday. This led me to using Psalm 46-48 as a text at my church.

Join me with the reading of Psalm 46:

1God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

2Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

3Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

4There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.

5God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

6The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

7The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

8Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.

9He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.

10Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

11The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

“Psalms 46-48 are hymns of praise, celebrating deliverance from some great foe. Psalm 46 may have been written when the Assyrian army invaded the land and surrounded Jerusalem.”

“The fear of mountains or cities suddenly crumbling into the sea as the result of a nuclear blast haunts many people today. But the psalmist says that even if the world ends, we need not fear. In the face of utter destruction, he expressed a quiet confidence in God’s ability to save him. It seems impossible to consider the end of the world without fear, but the Bible is clear, God is our refuge even in the face of total destruction. He is not merely a temporary retreat; he is our eternal refuge and can provide strength in any circumstances.”

“Many cities have rivers flowing through them, sustaining people’s lives. Jerusalem had no river, but it had God and as long as God lived among the people, the city was invincible. But when the people abandoned him, God no longer protected them, and Jerusalem fell”

Any nation can fall, even the USA when she abandons God. This troubles me and makes me continue to get ready and prepare. I’ve told my congregation that the Lord has impressed upon my heart to physically clean up the church and keep the doors open. When we repent and return unto the Lord as a Nation people will need a place to seek His face. We want to be ready to meet this need.

“War and destruction are inevitable, but so is God’s final victory. At that time all will be still before God. How proper then, for us to be still now, reverently honoring him and his power and majesty.” Yes there is a river that flows from God and I proclaim that God is a very present help and he will always be there when we return to him. Would you take a moment with me and be still and exalt God with me? Praise your name Lord, thou art holy, thou art my God. Thank you for always being there. (Notes used from Tyndale Life Application Bible comments).

DECK OF CARDS #636071010

DECK OF CARDS

Subject:: Amazing from a simple deck of cards...(WOW, SOMETHING TO REMEMBER)

This is not new but worth your time. After reading this, you will never look at a deck of cards in the same way. Here is a new way to look at a deck of cards! Please do not delete! You will be glad you didn't.

It was quiet that day, the guns and the mortars, and land mines for some reason hadn't been heard.

The young soldier knew it was Sunday, the holiest day of the week.

As he was sitting there, he got out an old deck of cards and laid them out across his bunk.

Just then an army sergeant came in and said, 'Why aren't you with the rest of the platoon?'

The soldier replied, 'I thought I would stay behind and spend some time with the Lord.'

The sergeant said, 'Looks to me like you're going to play cards.'

The soldier said, 'No, sir . You see, since we are not allowed to have Bibles or other spiritual books in this country,

I've decided to talk to the Lord by studying this deck of cards.'

The sergeant asked in disbelief, 'How will you do that?'

'You see the Ace, Sergeant? It reminds me that there is only one God.

The Two represents the two parts of the Bible, Old and New Testaments

The Three represents the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost.

The Four stands for the Four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John .

The Five is for the five virgins there were ten but only five of them were glorified.

The Six is for the six days it took God to create the Heavens and Earth.

The Seven is for the day God rested after making His Creation.

The Eight is for the family of Noah and his wife, their three sons and their wives -- the eight people God spared from the flood that destroyed the Earth.

The Nine is for the lepers that Jesus cleansed of leprosy He cleansed ten, but nine never thanked Him.

The Ten represents the Ten Commandments that God handed down to Moses on tablets made of stone.

The Jack is a reminder of Satan, one of God's first angels, but he got kicked out of heaven for his sly and wicked ways and is now the joker of eternal hell.

The Queen stands for the Virgin Mary.

The King stands for Jesus, for he is the King of all kings.

When I count the dots on all the cards, I come up with 365 total, one for every day of the year.

There are a total of 52 cards in a deck; each is a week - 52 weeks in a year.

The four suits represent the four seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.

Each suit has thirteen cards -- there are exactly thirteen weeks in a quarter.

So when I want to talk to God and thank Him, I just pull out this old deck of cards and they remind me of all that I have to be thankful for.'

The sergeant just stood there. After a minute, with tears in his eyes and pain in his heart, he said, 'Soldier, can I borrow that deck of cards?'

Please let this be a reminder and take time to pray for all of our soldiers who are being sent away, putting their lives on the line fighting.

Prayer for the Military.

Please keep the wheel rolling. It will only take a few seconds of your time, but it'll be worth it to read on....

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them, Bless them and their families I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
Amen

When you receive this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our servicemen and women all around the world.

There is nothing attached, but this can be very powerful.

Of all the gifts you could give a Soldier, prayer is the very best one.

IN GOD WE TRUST
