WHAT A
DAY
Yesterday we
attended a local event at our Court House and enjoyed gospel singing,
fellowship, and food of course. This is being held by local citizens and
organizations to include churches of all kinds. Sharon Foskey led the event and
did a wonderful job as she collected food and clothing for the homeless. It is
being called God’s Work Rally.
It was heart
lifting as one after another of the homeless would come hug Sharon and tell her
they loved her. She knew what that meant because she was once homeless herself.
So, as I
arose this morning this song was on my mind. Sing it with me and thank the Lord
for the hope we have of his return one day. What a day that will be, it will be
a glorious day and if you know Jesus as your personal Savior you will be caught
up in the air to be with him for evermore.
There
is coming a day,
When no heart aches shall come,
No more clouds in the sky,
No more tears to dim the eye,
All is peace forever more,
On that happy golden shore,
What a day, glorious day that will be.
What a day that will be,
When my Jesus I shall see,
And I look upon His face,
The One who saved me by His grace;
When He takes me by the hand,
And leads me through the Promised Land,
What a day, glorious day that will be.
There'll be no sorrow there,
No more burdens to bear,
No more sickness, no pain,
No more parting over there;
And forever I will be,
With the One who died for me,
What a day, glorious day that will be.
When no heart aches shall come,
No more clouds in the sky,
No more tears to dim the eye,
All is peace forever more,
On that happy golden shore,
What a day, glorious day that will be.
What a day that will be,
When my Jesus I shall see,
And I look upon His face,
The One who saved me by His grace;
When He takes me by the hand,
And leads me through the Promised Land,
What a day, glorious day that will be.
There'll be no sorrow there,
No more burdens to bear,
No more sickness, no pain,
No more parting over there;
And forever I will be,
With the One who died for me,
What a day, glorious day that will be.
What a day that will be,
When my Jesus I shall see,
And I look upon His face,
The One who saved me by His grace;
When He takes me by the hand,
And leads me through the Promised Land,
What a day, glorious day that will be

“If we confess our sins he is
faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness.” 1John 1:9
